W&W wish list - a weekly curated roundup of products we love
It’s October already?! As my daughter gives a daily countdown to Christmas I’m averting my
gaze and distracting myself with this week’s round up of our favourite picks.
I’ve admitted that Summer is definitely over and am packing away those flip flops and
summer dresses. We love a bit of vintage homeware here at W&W so these suitcases from DorsetTrunks are just perfect to stash away your summer clothes. You could try your luck in your local charity shops to find similar ones. Stack them up and use as a side or bedside tables too.
To accompany the current exhibition, the V&A have released this fascinating book
Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion. It’s a beautiful coffee table edition to curl up with and admire
the craftsmanship of one of the forefathers of modern fashion.
We’re being told that red, red and more red is THE colour of the season but for those who
prefer a different festive hue this gorgeous green hue is just as eye catching. This wrap top
from New Look looks more than its £24.99 price tag and would look great dressed up or
down. Pair it with our very own BETSY bag to complete the look.
Although not really drugstore prices the Charlotte Tilbury range really does deliver some
beautiful products. We are big fans of her palettes here at Watson & White and especially love the way colours and products are recommended according to eye colour and skin tone.
This Colour Chameleon pencil in Memorising Mink is back in stock and exclusively available
on the Charlotte Tilbury website. It contains synthetic sapphire to enhance blue eyes but is
as flattering on all eye colours. Pop it in your handbag to smoke out your eye for an
impromptu night out.
For us here at Watson & White winter comfort food is always a winner. A big pot bubbling
away on the stove is one of the best sights (and smells) as the Winter nights draw in. This mouth-watering recipe from Jamie Oliver will not only use up your Sunday roast left overs but the addition of dumplings makes it hard to resist and a perfect family meal.
A purse or wallet in a bright colour is great if you’re always scrabbling around to find yours
at the bottom of your bag. Couple this with our weakness for small leather goods this cute
little coin purse from John Lewis is a firm favourite. The leather is butter soft, the monogram
detail, the colour selection and a price point of £20 makes this little gem a great gift….to
yourself.
